Waldameer Announces Retirement of Iconic Spider Ride, New Time Twister Ride Coming Soon

A new ride is coming to Waldameer next summer. The new Time Twister family thrill ride will make its way to the park in the summer of 2025.
The park said riders will get lost in time rising, floating, falling and dodging in every direction. Guests must be 42" or taller to ride, and 48" or taller to ride unaccompanied.
However, the new Time Twister ride will be placed in the current location of the Spider which means its the last season for the long-time ride.
In a Facebook post the amusement park said, "[the] Spider is getting SQUISHED following the 2024 season. Take you last spins while you still can..."
The park is also temporarily grounding the Paratrooper ride.
Additionally, the 2025 season will feature the reconstruction of the entrance to Water World. The Paratrooper will be temporarily removed to make way for a new Potato Patch and Sundeck Cafe food and beverage location.
A new Swim Shop retail building will also be constructed next to Comet.
