Troopers Arrest 3 Teens after Chase with Speeds Exceeding 120 mph in Erie County
Troopers arrested three teens after a chase with speeds exceeding 120 mph came to an end in Erie County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
It happened July 5 around 2 a.m. when troopers saw a Jeep Wrangler traveling at a high-speed on E. 38th St. near Page St. in the City of Erie.
State police attempted to pull over the vehicle, but it did not stop, continuing through Wesleyville Borough and Harborcreek Township with speeds topping 120 mph, according to investigators.
The vehicle drove through a yard, causing damage to the property, before Wesleyville Borough Police stopped it, state police said.
The occupants included a 16-year-old Edinboro boy and two 15 year olds from Erie, which face charges, according to troopers.
Investigators indicated the incident is related to the purchase, possession or transportation of alcohol but did not provide any additional details.
