An Erie man died from injuries her suffered in a crash near Corry on Saturday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

It happened at Route 6 and W. Washington St. Ext. in Wayne Township around 12:46 p.m.

A 76-year-old woman from Hamburg, N.Y. driving a Ford Escape started to turn south onto W. Washington St. Ext. and crossed into the path of a motorcyclist heading the other direction on Route 6, investigators said.

The motorcyclist - identified as Thomas Sutton, 67 - attempted to brake to avoid crashing into the SUV but hit the back passenger side of the vehicle, according to troopers.

Sutton was treated at the scene and stabilized before he was taken to UPMC Hamot for additional treatment, state police said.

He died from injuries suffered in the crash during medical treatment on Sunday, according to investigators.
