Music on the Mountain Draws Global Audience for Annual Event

Music on the Mountain, based out of Sheffield PA, hosted their annual international drum and bugle corps competition, July 27th at War Memorial Field in Warren, PA.
Over 800 spectators in attendance, for the event, which began in 2015 to promote and re-energize several local high school marching bands.
Held for the first time in the city of Warren, visitors and performers from across the nation and Canada came out in full force.
The event featured over eight different corps, who showcased their skills in their performances.
Participants we spoke with shared their experience.
“We have been a parade performance group for over two decades, and wanted to try out a different competitive market," stated LuAnn Ringler, Drum Major for the Steel City Ambassadors. "It’s been an amazing experience, putting these people, these excited young people out on the field. This has been our dream and tonight it all came true.”
“Being a part of this competition has been amazing," stated Ana Carolina Silva, Drum Major for the Spartans, MoTM Championship Winner. "This area and Sheffield have become like a second home."
Event organizers stated that this year’s competition had the largest crowd yet and cannot wait to start planning for next year.
