The Erie Zoo's annual McDonald's Day event will return to the zoo on Saturday, August 3.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Attendees, kids 12 years old and under, will receive a treasure map to follow around the zoo to find ports with a variety or prizes supplied by McDonald's.

This year, guests will have the opportunity to meet some McDonald's characters, including Ronald McDonald.

Ronald McDonald will make a special appearance at 12 p.m. on the Front Lawn for a special animal presentation.

Also new this year, select animals will receive McDonald's themed enrichment. By donating $1, guests can vote on which enrichment the animals will choose first.

Donations received from the activity will go toward the Erie Zoo's conservation efforts.

More information on the event can be found on the Erie Zoo's website

Additionally, tickets to the zoo's Felines & Wines fundraiser are still available.

Felines & Wines is the zoo's newest 21+ fundraiser event, where guests can experience big cat training demos, taste and purchase locally made wines, ciders, and meads, enjoy live music and more.

This year's event will be held on Friday, August 9 from 6-9 p.m.

Tickets to the event can be purchased on Eventbrite.com. Prices are $25 for designated drivers, $45 for Erie Zoo members and $50 for non-members.
