Vice President's Campaign Bus Tour No Longer Planning to Stop in Erie Due to Security Concerns

Vice President Kamala Harris is no longer expected to visit Erie on Sunday as part of a bus tour for her 2024 presidential campaign, according to Erie County's Democratic Party chairman.
Multiple sources said Erie was considered for one of the stops on the bus tour, but security concerns changed those plans because City of Erie police would be busy with CelebrateErie.
The original plans also called for Harris to fly from Erie to Chicago for the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
The bus tour, which will start in Pittsburgh, will focus on meeting voters where they are in community settings, and stops will range from canvass kick offs to local retail stops and more, according to Harris-Walz campaign officials.
There's no word if Harris plans to visit any other cities in northwestern Pennsylvania on Sunday instead.
