First Traffic Public Input Workshop for the City of Erie
The first Traffic Safety Public Input Workshop was open to Erie Residents at the Blasco Library, on Sept. 25.
The City of Erie received a $200,000 federal grant to study how to reduce fatal and serious injuries on the city's streets. Then on Sept. 25, a Traffic Safety Public Input Workshop took place at the Blasco Library.
This workshop was open to all Erie residents, and its purpose gathering input on where traffic and pedestrian safety improvements are needed within the city.
Director of Planning Neighborhood Resources, Jackie Spry, states, "Without the input of the community to tell us where there are areas of concern, crossing to go to the school, maybe in the neighborhood street, maybe on a corridor, maybe at an intersection, we cannot do our job properly."
