Erie County Crop Hunger Walk Returns to Presque Isle State Park for 49th Year

An effort to fight hunger here at home, one step at a time, is making its return this weekend.
It's the Erie County Crop Hunger Walk. As always, some members of the Erie News Now family will be a part of it.
The 49th edition of the local walk is set for Sunday, September 29 at Presque Isle State Park.
Groups of walkers raise money to help get food to needy families in our area, and around the world. It's a big help for all the local food pantries that work with the Second Harvest Food Bank.
It's one of many similar walks being held across the country, with Erie's walk serving as the biggest in Pennsylvania.
Kara Coleman and Mark Soliday are once again serving as honorary co-chairs. The walks starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the state park.
