Gannon University's Ruskin Campus in Florida has shifted to remote learning on Monday and Tuesday, October 7-8 and then will be closed for the already-scheduled fall break Wednesday-Sunday, Oct. 9-13.

The shift to remote learning was made due to Hurricane Milton gaining strength.

The university sent out the following message to alert students: Weather alert: Ruskin Campus will shift to remote learning Monday and Tuesday Oct. 7 and 8 and then will be closed for the already-schedule fall break Wednesday-Sunday, Oct. 9-13 as Hurricane Milton gains strength in the Gulf of Mexico and heads our way.  Please take precautions. This storm is likely to have a life-threatening storm surge in addition to high winds and heavy rain. We will offer other updates throughout the week and next weekend as needed. As always, your safety is our top priority. We will continue to keep all of our Ruskin students, colleagues, alumni and family in our prayers.
