Local Woman Runs Every Single Street in Erie
A woman who set out on a big challenge to run Erie single street in Erie crossed the finish line on Sunday.
Earlier this year, real estate agent, Megan DeMarco made it her mission to try and run every single street in Erie. Along the way she said she found new spots, neighborhoods, community gardens, even little free libraries.
She said through this journey she has ran over 500 miles and learned a lot about herself and the Erie community, the place she calls home.
She began her final run on Sunday morning with a group of runners. They began at Hillside Park at 41st and Old French and ran all the way down State Street until Dobbins Landing.
An afterparty and fundraiser happened at at Five Iron Golf after the run, DeMarco was raising money for the Barber National Institute.
