One thing you don't want to bring to Thanksgiving dinner is the germs going around.

A big problem this year is walking pneumonia, essentially a lighter form of pneumonia.

Dr. Chris Serafini said he has diagnosed more cases of pneumonia and walking pneumonia in the last few weeks than he has in the last few years.

Symptoms can include a fever, cough and body aches. He has had patients of all ages but most haven’t had to go to the hospital.

He said this condition needs to be diagnosed by a doctor.

“It is a bacteria so it does need antibiotic treatment,” he said. “It should have a stethoscope put on your chest so you can listen for the abnormal lung sounds.”
