The Pennsylvania Sled Dog Club held its 2nd Annual North East Dryland Sled Dog race over the weekend.

This year's race welcomed 190 teams from all over the U.S. and Canada.

With the weather conditions on Sunday, some of the racers felt as if they were riding blind. The messy conditions even brought back memories for some long time dryland dog sledders. 

For competitors, their dogs are more than just pets.

Competitors like Kathy Knapp, who competes recreationally, says she does to just enjoy time with her dogs.
