City of Erie Declares Snow Emergency: What Residents Need to Know
The City of Erie has declared a snow emergency for Friday and through the weekend.
The snow emergency extends inner-city posted odd-even parking regulations through Saturday and Sunday.
Residents and visitors are asked to follow the posted odd-even parking regulations, so plows can safely clear snow, and emergency vehicles can get through city streets.
Police will be ticketing and towing vehicles which do not abide by the odd-even regulations over the weekend.
Residents are asked to park in their driveways where possible or park on the same side of the street if odd-even parking is not posted.
City officials are also asking drivers to avoid any unnecessary travel and stay off the roads, so vehicles do not get stuck and prevent plows from clearing the snow from streets.
