The Erie County Public Library has closed all library locations on Thursday, December 5 due to weather conditions.

This includes: the Blasco Library, Bookmobile, Edinboro Branch Library, Iroquois Branch Library, Lincoln Community Center Branch Library, and Millcreek Branch Library. 

The above locations will remain closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 

To accommodate patrons affected by the extended closure, ECPL is: 

  • Extending due dates for all items with an original return date between Nov. 27 and Dec. 8. Patrons are encouraged to keep their library materials until the weather improves and it is safe to access our locations.
  • Extending the hold on any items currently awaiting pickup until December 13.
  • Continuing to offer 24/7 digital resources to keep patrons engaged anywhere with an internet connection. Download ebooks with Libby, stream movies through Hoopla, get the daily news with NewsBank, tackle certifications and prepare for tests with Mometrix, use Consumer Reports to assess your next snowblower purchase, and so much more through erielibrary.org.

Library locations are expected to reopen on Monday, December 9.
