Several new exhibits have recently opened at the Hagen History Center in Erie with more on the way, museum officials announced Monday.

One exhibit, “Triggering History,” showcases Erie’s firearm legacy, featuring pre-Civil War rifles, dueling pistols, and muskets tied to local gunsmiths like Daniel Weeks and Henry S. Drake.

Another exhibit, created in collaboration with the Elk Creek Township Historical Society, highlights the history of “The Little Church on the Hill,” a community treasure saved from demolition.

Visitors can also check out “Made You Look,” an advertising exhibit filled with nostalgic Erie signs, or “100 Years of the Erie Zoo,” celebrating a century of memories.

The Hagen History Center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.

Now through March 30, Erie County visitors can pay what they wish to explore the museum.
