Residents in the city of Erie currently have two choices on who to vote in the Democratic primary when they go to choose their next mayor.

Mayor Joe Schember is seeking a third term in office, while Daria Devlin is looking to unseat the incumbent.

Both said the experiences in their careers before this campaign has prepared them to become mayor.

They also talked about their plans on how we will see more jobs and people coming to Erie and how the state approving a City Revitalization and Improvement Zone (CRIZ) for the city is an opportunity for growth.
