McKean County Sheriff Daniel Woods is warning the public to watch out for fake calls.

Callers pretending to be “Sgt. Daniel Woods” are leaving voicemails with the phone number 814-561-2708, which is not the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff's Office and Bradford Twp. Police Department were notified about the scam calls.

Sheriff Woods is reminding you not to give these callers any personal information or make any payments over the phone.

If you believe the McKean County Sheriff's Office is attempting to reach you, the sheriff is asking you to call the office's local number, 814-887-3454, and leave a message.
