ECGRA's Perry Wood Launches Campaign for County Executive

A Democratic candidate has entered the race for Erie County Executive in the May primary.
Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority Executive Director, Perry Wood announced his candidacy on Tuesday.
He's been in the Gaming Authority role since 2011, overseeing how the local share of casino profits are dispersed to local organizations.
Wood told us he's running for County Executive because he has very different ideas for economic development than the current County Executive Brenton Davis.
In the past, Wood has been at odds with Davis, specifically over reimbursements Wood got from the Gaming Revenue Authority on top of his $140,000 annual salary.
Wood also said he thinks the relationship between the County Exec.'s office and County Council needs repaired.
