Veronica Brewer, a senior at Harbor Creek High School, was selected as this month's C.L.A.S.S. Act Emerging Leader Award winner.

Thanks to several local sponsors, each month one nominated student is awarded a $1,200 scholarship.

Brewer was chosen for her leadership and work ethic. She was nominated by two math teachers who say despite Veronica being a musician, president of the NHS, and an award winning track and cross country athlete, she's sincere, and enthusiastic.

"I just put my school work first and make sure its due each night and make sure I go to practice with the mindset of to do my best and having a schedule and taking one thing at a time," said Brewer.

"Whatever she does, athletics, class, vo tech, church, everything, she's just a great person, great leader," said David Hess, Math Teacher at Harbor Creek High School.

One student across Erie, Crawford and Warren counties are chosen each month.
