Brooke Sanfilippo is seeking the Democratic nomination for City of Erie Controller in the May 20th primary election.

She announced her candidacy Thursday at the Third Street Polish Falcons Club, surrounded by supporters.

Sanfilippo holds degrees in finance and accounting from Mercyhurst University and has over 13 years of experience in the pension and 401(k) industry, specializing in compliance and oversight.

She also worked for eight years in Erie County government under the DiVecchio administration.

Sanfilippo said she is committed to managing the controller’s office with integrity and ethics.

A lifelong Erie resident, she is the daughter-in-law of the late State Representative Flo Fabrizio. She lives in Erie with her husband Matt and their son Luciano.
