Blessed Sacrament School in Erie will close after the 2024-25 school year.

The Erie Catholic School System says declining enrollment—down 52% since 2017—led to the decision.

Officials plan to reinvest resources into other schools, improve programs, and address teacher pay.

A national consulting firm helped guide the process, which aims to strengthen Catholic education in the region.

Blessed Sacrament, a community staple since 1939, will honor its legacy as it prepares for its final year.
