In a letter, the Erie Catholic School System announced that Blessed Sacrament School will close after the 2025 school year, citing a continuous decline in enrollment as the largest determining factor.

Emily Adiutori Czerpak is a parent to Blessed Sacrament School students, having a fifth and third grader enrolled along with a two-year-old that was going to attend the school as well.

Throughout the day, she received hundreds of texts from fellow parents who also got the news of the closure and while they understand the move, she said they still have faith.
