Erie Zoo Debuts Region's First Glow Wild Chinese Lantern Festival

The Erie Zoo is partnering with Hanart Culture to present the region's first Chinese Lantern Festival.
The national renowned event will be at the zoo from April 17th through June 15. The light show will be switched on every Thursday through Sunday evening from 6-10 p.m.
“Chinese Lantern Festivals are wildly popular at zoos nationwide, as they set an already lively experience against an artistic and delightfully illuminated backdrop,” said Roo Kojancie, CEO and president, Erie Zoo. “Glow Wild will transform the way visitors experience the zoo during its centennial anniversary season and showcase Erie in a whole new light. The breathtaking sculptures, depicting marvelous creatures and intricate landscapes, will light up the zoo grounds, creating a magical evening atmosphere.”
The festival will feature handcrafted lantern displays inspired by traditional Chinese art, along with cultural performances.
Those interested in attending the festival can purchase tickets on the Erie Zoo's website. Ticket prices range from $15 to $22 per person.
Additionally, the Erie Zoo is offering Glow Wild birthday party packages.
Glow Wild is a rain or shine event, and tickets are only valid for the selected date and entry time.
