It's the last Wednesday of the month, and that means it's time to meet the latest winner of the C.L.A.S.S. Emerging Leader Award.

It honors a nominated high schooler, across Erie, Warren and Crawford Counties.

This month was the first time the award was presented to a student at the Erie County Technical School.

Our Eva Mastromatteo surprised senior, Kendra Ramey earlier this afternoon.

There were smiles and tears, as the pre-school education student found out she was the winner of a $1,200 scholarship.

Kendra works in the pre-school on site at the technical school, helping toddlers from the community learn, as she hones her teaching skills.

Erie News Now would like to congratulate all of the nominees for this month's Northwest Pa. C.L.A.S.S. Act Emerging Leader Award.
