A bakery in the City of Erie will celebrate its grand opening later this month.

Herb & Honey Bakery, which recently relocated to 516 Cherry St., will mark the milestone Thursday, March 20 at 9 a.m. Doors will open at 8 a.m.

Attendees can enjoy free sourdough starter, live art and contribute memories to a community scrapbook.

The business was located inside Urbaniak Brothers for four years.

Owner Jessica Schultz says she’s excited to grow with the community and honor the building’s rich history.  Schultz credits Historic Erie Preservation for helping make her dream of a neighborhood bakery possible.

The bakery is currently open Thursdays through Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It serves artisan pastry, croissant, pretzels, sourdough breads, and other treats made with local and natural ingredients as well as coffee and tea. SNAP/EBT is also accepted.
