18th President of Chautauqua Institution Announces Departure

The President of the Chautauqua Institution, Michael Hill, announced he will be leaving his role as the Institution's 18th president on May 31, 2025.
”My eight-plus years in service to Chautauqua have been among the most rewarding and challenging of my career,” said Hill. “…it has been the honor of a lifetime to work alongside the talented Chautauqua team to advance our mission.”
Hill said he is leaving his position at the Chautauqua Institution to accept the position of president at Randolph-Macon College.
Hill is credited for his numerous accomplishments, including curating eight Summer Assembly programs serving 100,000 patrons annually and leading one of the most ambitious and successful fundraising campaigns in the Institution's history.
