Erie County Council Votes to Ban Partisan Posts on Official County Social Media Page
Erie County Council voted to ban partisan posts on its official social media page, following what they called biased political posts.
In a 7-0 vote, council passed a measure to prevent partisan content on its official platforms.
The vote comes after Erie County Executive Brenton Davis criticized council democrats for quote "wasting taxpayer money."
The new policy aims to keep the page focused on government business and restore trust in county communication.
Additionally, Council members stated that the County Executive has deleted the Erie County, Pennsylvania Facebook page in response to the vote.
