PennDOT to Resume Depot Road Improvement Project in Harborcreek Township

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is preparing to continue a $13.5 million project to improve the safety and efficiency for Depot Road in Harborcreek Township.
The project includes improvements to 1.3 miles of Depot Road just south of Interstate 90 to just north of McGill Road.
PennDOT says work will include reconstruction of the existing roadway, widening of the shoulders, adjusting the slope of the roadway, and the creation of a turn lane in front of Clark Elementary School.
There will also be updates to drainage, pavement markings, signs, and guiderails.
According to PennDOT, construction is expected to resume on March 24. Construction is expected to be completed in November 2025.
PennDOT will complete the work in four phases.
Phase 1 was completed in 2024. Phase 2 and 3 will begin this month, and phase 4 will include realigning Route 531 north of Harbor Ridge and adding a turning lane at Clark Elementary School.
