The Erie Bird Observatory is hosting a Lights Out Erie event on Saturday, March 29 at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. 

The event will feature informational tables, a screening of Lights Out Texas, a panel discussion and Q&A, and more. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how commercial and residential lighting and windows can cause problems for migrating birds. 

According to the Erie Bird Observatory, spring migratory activity has already started and will continue through the end of May. 

The event is free to attend.
