An Elk County man faces felony charges for sharing child sexual abuse material, according to the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office.

Jason T. Orner, 45, of Saint Marys, was arrested after investigators found he was distributing illegal videos from his home on Chestnut St.

Authorities executed a search warrant, seizing a laptop and other devices, investigators said. His bail is set at $175,000.

"The proactive work of our Child Predator Section uncovered this defendant’s efforts to network online videos of children being exploited and abused," said Attorney General Dave Sunday. "Stopping the distribution of these materials is a priority for my office as we seek to protect children from exploitation and abuse. We will never yield in our efforts to bring these offenders out of the shadows in order to hold them accountable."

The case is being handled by the Attorney General’s Child Predator Section. A preliminary hearing is set for March 25.
