Gannon University will soon have two more new labs and medical facilities in their iHack building.

They will be teaming up with First Ascend Biomedical and AHN Saint Vincent to build the labs that will be used for cancer research and care. These labs will provide 38 new jobs within the first year and 100 jobs by year five. They will also lead to the personalized medical treatment for cancer and new degree programs for Gannon in Medical Lab Technology and Science.

The funding for the 6.5 million dollar project will come from the Lutheran Foundation, ECGRA, and the Shapiro Administration. School officials said they are excited to begin this new chapter in Gannon's 100th year.

The project is set to begin in fall of 2025 and is expected to take two years to complete.
