Joshua Hirtzel, a North East High School student who is also a student at the Erie County Technical School, is this month's C.L.A.S.S. Act Award recipient. 

Hirtzel was awarded a $1,200 scholarship.

The senior was nominated by his principals for his work ethic, academic success and community involvement.

The National Honor Society student is also an Eagle Scout. For his scout project, he constructed more than 100 bocce courts for schools across Pennsylvania.
