EUMA's Our Neighbors' Place Seasonal Overflow Shelter to Close the Morning of April 2

The Erie United Methodist Alliance (EUMA) will close the Our Neighbors' Place Seasonal Overflow Shelter on the morning of Wednesday, April 2.
As the colder months draw to an end, the EUMA wants to remind the homeless community that there are resources available beyond Our Neighbors' Place.
Individuals in need of shelter or housing assistance are encouraged to call coordinated entry at 814-SHELTER (814-743-5837). Coordinated entry connects individuals and families to emergency shelters, transitional and permanent housing, and other essential services.
EUMA wants to say thank you to its dedicated volunteers, the coordinating churches, Erie Blue Coats, and Erie County for their unwavering support and partnership throughout the season.
This was the first year Our Neighbors' Place operated as a single-site location. The organization says the centralized approach allowed for efficient services, safety, and stronger connections with those in housing crises.
“Thanks to the commitment of the coordinating churches, volunteers, EUMA staff, Erie Blue Coats, and Erie County, we were able to provide shelter with a pathway to permanent housing for individuals facing homelessness, said Kurt B. Crays, CEO of EUMA. “Together, we really are ending homelessness, just as Jesus would!”
