An Intensive Care Unit at AHN Saint Vincent has earned national award for excellence in patient care.

The 4 South Intensive Care Unit has received the silver-level Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. This award honors units that improve patient outcomes and meet high standards in areas like communication, collaboration, and staffing.

The 20-bed ICU specializes in adult medical and surgical critical care and is part of the hospital’s larger 61-bed intensive care program. 

The Beacon Award is a three-year designation recognizing units that meet national benchmarks for leadership, evidence-based practices, and patient outcomes.
