Pa. Turnpike Expects 2.18 Million Travelers to Hit the Road Easter Weekend

The Pennsylvania Turnpike is preparing for a busy Easter holiday travel period. According to the turnpike, 2.18 million travelers are expected to be on the Pa. Turnpike during the four-day holiday weekend.
The project is a 1.5 percent increase compared to the same holiday period last year.

To ensure as many travel lanes are open as possible, the PA Turnpike will suspend all construction work beginning at 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 17 until 11 p.m. on Monday, April 21.
Additionally, PA Turnpike personnel will have increased patrols on the roadway, along with Pa. State Police.
