CamaradERIE BBQ has now expanded to become CamaradERIE BBQ and Butcher Shop.

The expansion is a dream come true for owners Corey and Yanina Hess, who started the first Peruvian American BBQ catering company in Erie just four years ago.

Yanina Hess said customers enjoyed the food so much that they wondered when the business would expand to include bringing the meat and ingredients used to a traditional brick and mortar.

Thanks, in part, to grant funding from Diverse Erie -- the butcher shop is now here.

Anthony Simmons is a commissioner for Diverse Erie and said helping local minority-owned businesses get ahead is what the group's mission is all about.

CamaradERIE BBQ and Butcher Shop is located at 9333 Tate Rd. in Greene Township.
