Exciting news for film enthusiasts and chocolate lovers alike! Nancy Mosser Casting has announced that the upcoming major motion picture "Hershey" is officially set to begin production in May 2025.

The film will be shot in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas, bringing to life the inspiring story of Milton Hershey, the iconic chocolate pioneer, and his wife, Catherine, affectionately known as Kitty.

The film will be directed by Mark Waters, known for his work on "Mean Girls", "The Spiderwick Chronicles", and "Mr. Popper's Penguins". "Hershey" promises to be a captivating cinematic experience.

The film stars Finn Wittrock ("The Big Short", "Don’t Move", "American Horror Story") as Milton Hershey and Alexandra Daddario ("The White Lotus", "True Detective", "San Andreas") as Catherine Hershey.

The movie will delve into Milton Hershey's journey, highlighting his repeated failures in business before ultimately creating a world-renowned chocolate empire.

Beyond his business success, the film will showcase how Hershey used his achievements to build a legacy of education and community, a legacy that continues to impact lives to this day.

"Hershey" is set to release in 2026, coinciding with the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

Nancy Mosser Casting is currently seeking a large number of background actors of all ages to portray characters from the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Filming is scheduled to take place between May 12 and June 27, 2025, with no filming on Saturdays or Sundays. 

Extras will be paid $225 for a 12 hour guarantee. Extras can expect 12-14 hour shoot days (minors will have shorter hours). 

Interested extras must have transportation since some shooting locations are an hour outside of Pittsburgh. Extras are also required to attend costume fittings, and hair/makeup consultations prior to shoot dates.
