Erie Insurance President & CEO Tim NeCastro rang the opening bell of NASDAQ this morning.

Erie Insurance was founded April 20, 1925. It's grown to become a Fortune 500 company with more than 6,000 employees and over 6 million active policies.

The NASDAQ Exchange doesn't have a trading floor, but its bell-ringing ceremonies are iconic taking place at MarketSite, and streamed live from the heart of Times Square on business channels.

Erie Insurance is traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol "ERIE."
