Waldameer & Water World Introduce New Ride: Time Twister

Waldameer & Water World is showing off its new ride, the Time Twister, ahead of opening day on Saturday, May 3.
The amusement park received the first piece of the new ride on April 23 and appeared to be completely assembled by Saturday, April 26.
According to Waldameer, rides can be installed so quickly because most of them are pre-assembled in sections at the ride manufacturer's plant before being shipped to the park.
In the Time Twister's case, the ride was assembled and operated at the plant before being shipped. Once the ride was brought to the park, a technician from the manufacturer comes on site to direct the assembly and testing process.
The Time Twister will have riders rise and fall in a vertical circular motion both forwards and backwards reaching a height of 30'. Riders will also experience a moment of weightlessness at the top of each rotation.
Riders must be 42" or taller to ride. Those who are 42-48" tall must be seated next to a Supervising Companion.
