Anti-DOGE Billboard Sign on Display in Erie
A billboard sign on W. 12th Street in the city of Erie reads, "Greetings from Valley Forge National Park, now with reduced staff made possible by DOGE."
More Perfect Union, a progressive group is responsible for it and the link they provide brings you to their website with a message, "Save our National Parks under attack by DOGE."
Reacting to the sign's message, our local Republicans and Democrats have differing opinions on the department which mirrors what the country thinks as recent polling shows voters support cutting government spending but some are also skeptical of Elon Musk.
State Representative Ryan Bizzarro said everyday his office is hearing from constituents who have federal concerns.
Erie County Republican Chairman Tom Eddy said he supports the department's mission and wants taxpayer money to go to efficient use.
Bizzarro said he has also heard from constituents worried about funding for Presque Isle State Park being halted but he assured our community that funding will not get cut because it is not a federally funded park.
