Erie News Now continues to honor veterans and their service with our weekly series Remembering Our Veterans. The former captain of the Pennsylvania State Police Department is the focus of tonight's story. 

Service to his country and his community is the lifetime story of Kirk Reese. 

Captain Reese spent more than 25 years with state police. Before he patrolled Erie county, he was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corp.

He comes from a family dedicated to serving and now he his early days of retirement days, serving as a volunteer coach for his son's lacrosse team.

Captain Reese, thank you for your service.
