Erie Philharmonic to Host Summer Concert Series at Local Outdoor Venues

The Erie Philharmonic's annual summer concert series, In Your Hometown, will return this summer.
Each summer, the Philharmonic brings music to local communities. This year, the orchestra and select ensembles will visit Corry, Meadville, North East, Girard, and Edinboro.
“Each summer I look forward to sharing great orchestral music with our friends throughout our region,” said
Daniel Meyer, Erie Philharmonic Music Director. “Our free outdoor concerts have become a popular tradition,
with audiences across Erie County bringing picnic blankets, lounge chairs, and some food and drink as they
hear us in a casual atmosphere. This July, expect some spirited performances of Mendelssohn's Scottish
Symphony, alongside the virtuosity of our talented Principal Tuba Ken Heinlein, as he performs the music of
Vaughan Williams.”
The summer music series will kick off on July 20 at the Downtown City Park in Corry.
All seven concerts are scheduled to take place at outdoor parks and venues. Each performance will begin at 7 p.m.
