The Bayfront Maritime Center is opening its doors to the community this week with open houses, Thursday, and Saturday from 4 to 8 pm.

As Pennsylvania's only port with direct access to the great lakes, the center is inviting residents and lake enthusiasts to explore sailing and get involved in Erie's dynamic waterfront scene


According to Vince Nientimp of the Bayfront Maritime Center, "Our goal here at the bayfront maritime center is to just enable access to the water. We like to consider ourselves the community hub- community access hub to Presque Isle bay, and with this, it's just more access to things people who have lived here their whole life don't have access to."


Their focus remains on the local boating community and highlighting everything Lake Erie has to offer.
