Signed, sealed, delivered. Some elementary school kids are meeting their pen pals in person.

Second graders from McKean Elementary have been writing back and forth with 20 residents at the Springhill Senior Living Center since January.


Thursday, the pen pals finally got to put a face to the names and meet one another.


The students also put on a play called "American Symbols on Parade" for their new friends.


Many of the pen pals exchanged personal home addresses, and plan to keep writing over the summer.
