Struthers Library Theater's SLT Academy Presents "Mary Poppins Jr."

The Struthers Library Theatre's SLT Academy are hosting a youth production of "Disney's Mary Poppins Jr." Friday, May 30th through Sunday, June 1st.
The cast features students ages 7 to 17 from across Warren County, all of whom have been part of the Academy’s training program.
The performances give them an opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned in acting, singing, and stage presence.
“We’ve seen so much growth from these students,” said Jennifer Check, Struthers Library Theater Academy Director. “We have around eighty children in grades 2 through 12 this session. We have three different levels of classes and at the very end we put on a large production to show the community what they have learned."
“This is different from some of the other shows we have performed because there are a lot of younger kids in it," explained Warren senior Anna Courson, who plays the title role. "It's a lot of pressure but I have really enjoyed it and am looking forward to performing for the community."
Fellow cast mate and Youngsville freshman, Greyson Ling added, "We can't want for people to see the show, it's going to be remarkable - it's quirky, goofy and a little bit crazy, but maybe a spoonful of sugar will go a long, long way."
"Mary Poppins Jr." runs Friday, May 30th and Saturday, May 31st at 7:00PM with a 2:00PM matinee performance on Sunday, June 1st at the Struthers Library Theatre in downtown Warren.
Tickets are available online or at the door. For more information, visit the Struthers Library Theater's website, here.
