The ATHENA Erie PowerLink program continues to help women entrepreneurs in Erie thrive, offering business advice and mentorship for a fraction of the typical cost.

Dena Krupp, owner of Purrista Cat Cafe, credits the program for helping her achieve her goals and run her business more effectively.

“We got together every month and just tried to chisel away at those goals,” Krupp said.

Founded 25 years ago by Linda Stevenson with the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership, ATHENA Erie connects local businesswomen with volunteer advisors from fields like law, IT, and finance.

“I knew it was the right thing for Erie, I knew we needed it,” Stevenson said.

This year’s participants include the Noe Noonan School of Cosmetology in Millcreek and Formality Bridal in Erie, joining dozens of other women-owned businesses who have benefited from the program’s guidance and support.

Volunteer Bob Paris emphasized the importance of their work: “We help them every step of the way.”

The ATHENA PowerLink program continues to foster confidence and growth for women-led businesses across the region.
