Strawberry season has officially arrived at Mason Farms, thanks to favorable weather conditions.

Locally grown, fresh-picked strawberries are now available at Mason Farms’ locations on 839 Peninsula Drive and 4115 Old French Road.

Roadside stands in Lake City and Edinboro will begin offering them this Friday.

John Mason Jr. of Mason Farms announced that this year’s crop is “abundant with lots of plump red ripe berries,” just in time for the start of summer break.

Pick-your-own strawberry fields at 8603 West Lake Road in Lake City are expected to open between June 10th and 15th. The fields will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including Sundays.

Mason Farms locations operate Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
