Cypress Creek Renewables has announced that two Erie County students, Dominic Zeto of McDowell High School and Tanmay Sharma of Fairview High School, are recipients of the 2025 Energizing Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship.

Each student was awarded a one-time $2,500 scholarship to support their post-graduation education.

Applicants submitted short videos answering how renewable energy impacts their future.

“The applications submitted by this year’s awardees showcased not only academic excellence but also remarkable creativity and passion,” said Cypress Creek CEO Sarah Slusser. “We are incredibly proud to recognize these outstanding students.”

Launched in 2023, the scholarship program supports students in communities where Cypress Creek operates, with the goal of encouraging careers in renewable energy and STEM fields.

In 2025, 46 scholarships were awarded across 25 counties.
