In Erie, police are investigating an incident where a bicyclist was hit by a car on the Bayfront Parkway.

It happened around 7 pm near the Niagara Pier.  The good news is, it appeared that the driver stopped to help the bicyclist, and he apparently was not seriously hurt.

Police arrived on scene to take a traffic report, an ambulance was called too, but the victim was not transported.

It's a reminder that the weather is warm, and there are more bikes on the berms and roadways, it's important for drivers and those on bikes to be vigilant.
