Two individuals have been arrested and thousands of fentanyl doses seized following a significant drug bust in Clearfield County, according to Attorney General Dave Sunday, the Pennsylvania State Police, and Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers.

The operation also led to the unexpected rescue of two exotic African wildcats, which were allegedly being unlawfully kept in the home’s basement.

Jennifer Dixon, 27, and Nicholas Rumsey, 33, were taken into custody and charged with drug trafficking, possession with intent to distribute, endangering the welfare of a child, and related offenses.

Authorities say the home, located in Lawrence Township, was the site of a large-scale narcotics operation.

Law enforcement executed a search warrant on June 5 as part of an ongoing investigation.

The raid resulted in the seizure of:

•Three pounds of methamphetamine (estimated street value: $19,200)

•159 grams of fentanyl (~7,950 doses; estimated value: $63,000)

•9 grams of heroin (estimated value: $3,600)

   •$7,390 in cash

   •Drug packaging materials

“Our agents never know what they’re going to find during a search—and this case was no exception,” said Attorney General Sunday. “This seizure not only removed deadly substances from our communities but also rescued two exotic animals from inhumane conditions.”

The wildcats were discovered caged in the basement. The Pennsylvania State Game Commission responded to the scene and is investigating potential wildlife violations.

Permits are required to legally possess such animals in Pennsylvania, and the cats were believed to be unlawfully kept.

District Attorney Sayers praised the multi-agency effort, noting that the recovered fentanyl alone represented a serious threat to public safety. “This bust helps ensure those drugs don’t endanger lives, and also protects both the public and the exotic animals involved,” he said.

The case is being prosecuted by the Clearfield County District Attorney’s Office, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The agencies involved include:

•PA Office of Attorney General – Bureau of Narcotics

•PA State Police Troop C Vice & SERT

   •Clearfield Regional Police Department

   •Blair County Drug Task Force

   •PA State Game Commission
